Drum brake self-adjuster mechanisms endure extreme heat and contamination inside the brake drum assembly. Over time, these components can wear, stretch, or lose tension, leading to poor brake adjustment, excessive pedal travel, and uneven braking. This repair kit contains quality replacement parts to restore proper self-adjusting function when servicing drum brakes. Professional technicians recommend inspecting and replacing self-adjuster hardware whenever brake shoes are replaced to ensure reliable, quiet operation.
