Bridgestone 004858 Potenza S001 255/35R19 96Y XL Summer Performance Tire

The Bridgestone Potenza S001 is a ultra-high performance summer tire developed as Original Equipment (OE) for premium sports cars, coupes, and sedans. Engineered to deliver maximum performance in both dry and wet conditions, the Potenza S001 combines a purpose-built summer compound with advanced tread technology to deliver confident grip and responsive handling on demanding roads.

Key Features:

• Asymmetric Tread Pattern — Large outside shoulder blocks contribute to dry performance and confident cornering, while inner tread elements improve wet-weather traction and hydroplaning resistance.
• Continuous Center Rib — Maintains constant road contact for enhanced steering response and driving accuracy at all speeds.
• Wide Circumferential Grooves — Efficiently channel water away from the tire's footprint to reduce hydroplaning and maintain wet traction.
• High-Angle Lateral Grooves — Pump water into the circumferential grooves for improved braking performance on wet surfaces.
• Spiral Nylon Wrap — A full-circumference continuous nylon wrap helps the tire retain its shape at high speeds, improving high-speed stability and durability.
• Reinforced Steel Belt Construction — Adds puncture resistance and long-term durability.
• Heat-Resistant Compound — Prevents heat build-up across the tread area to maintain consistent contact and high-speed performance.

Rated Y for speeds up to 186 mph and carrying an XL (Extra Load) designation with a load index of 96 (1,565 lbs per tire), this tire is built for drivers who demand the highest levels of performance. The UTQG rating of 280 AA reflects strong traction and temperature resistance. Note: As a summer performance tire, the Potenza S001 is not intended for use in near-freezing temperatures, snow, or icy conditions.
