OE Pro RTC5092 Distributor Vacuum Advance Unit

The OE Pro RTC5092 is a distributor vacuum advance unit designed for Land Rover V8 engines. This critical ignition component automatically adjusts spark timing based on engine vacuum levels to optimize performance, fuel economy, and engine efficiency under varying load conditions.

Function and Benefits:

• Advances ignition timing beyond mechanical advance limits during light to medium throttle operation
• Improves fuel economy and throttle response during cruise conditions
• Helps engine run cooler at idle and part-throttle conditions
• Features 2-pin amplifier module configuration
• Direct replacement for Land Rover OEM part number RTC5092

The vacuum advance works by responding to engine vacuum levels through a diaphragm mechanism connected to the distributor trigger plate. Under light load conditions with high manifold vacuum, the unit advances timing for optimal efficiency. When throttle opens and engine load increases, vacuum drops and the advance automatically returns to base timing settings. This provides improved street drivability without affecting wide-open throttle performance.

Application: Compatible with V8-equipped Land Rover Discovery I, Range Rover Classic, and Defender 110 models with distributor-based ignition systems.
