Mapco 93383M Remanufactured Power Rack and Pinion Assembly with Speed-Sensitive Steering

The Mapco 93383M is a remanufactured hydraulic power rack and pinion assembly engineered for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with speed-sensitive steering (Servotronic). This complete, turn-key unit is remanufactured to OEM specifications, restoring precise steering feel and reliable hydraulic power assist.

Key Features:

• Remanufactured to OEM specifications for proper fit, form, and function
• Includes an electronic speed-sensitive steering solenoid — fully tested and performance-verified
• Comes complete with re-certified or new inner tie-rod ends, new bellows, fasteners, and replacement seals and O-rings
• Unit is pre-centered on the test stand prior to shipping, reducing installation time
• Maval part number and serial number etched into the housing for full traceability
• Pinion valve performance tested before leaving the facility

Important Installation Notes:

• Solenoid wiring is polarity-sensitive — wires must be matched to vehicle wire colors; incorrect wiring will result in loss of power assist. Refer to solenoid warning label 641280.
• Pressure and return ports are the same size — always install the pressure line in the top port. Crossing the lines will cause the upper pinion seal to fail under high pressure. Refer to warning label 640100.
• It is recommended to flush the power steering system and refill with the correct OE-specified fluid prior to installation.
