MAHLE CB-780A A-Series Connecting Rod Bearing Pair Standard Size Volkswagen Air-Cooled 4-Cylinder

The MAHLE Clevite CB-780A is a standard-size A-Series connecting rod bearing pair engineered for Volkswagen air-cooled 4-cylinder engines. Produced under the trusted Clevite 77 banner, this bearing is manufactured to precise OEM tolerances and is a go-to choice for engine rebuilders working on classic VW applications including Type 1 beetles, buses, dune buggies, and sand rails.

The A-Series designation identifies this bearing's bimetal (aluminum-silicon) construction, which delivers a 100% lead-free design. The aluminum-silicon alloy is engineered with elevated silicon content to promote superior conditioning of crankshaft journal surfaces, resulting in enhanced seizure resistance and long-term wear protection.
