MAHLE MS-2299A-.25MM Engine Crankshaft Main Bearing Set AL-Series 0.010 in. Undersize

The MAHLE MS-2299A-.25MM is an AL-Series crankshaft main bearing set designed for the Mitsubishi/Chrysler 1.8L, 2.0L, and 2.4L 4B11 non-turbo inline-four engine. This is a 0.010-inch (0.25mm) undersize bearing set intended for engines where the crankshaft main journals have been reground to restore proper surface geometry.

Key Features:

• AL-Series aluminum construction — engineered for applications where aluminum's softer, more conformable nature is preferred over steel-backed bearings
• 100% lead-free aluminum silicon material for a cleaner, more environmentally responsible build
• 60% more silicon than comparable competitive replacements for improved conditioning of journal surfaces
• Greater seizure and wear resistance thanks to optimized silicon content and carefully selected eccentricities tailored to the application
• Direct replacement bearing usage — designed to restore OEM-level fit and function
• Suitable for OEM-style rebuilds through mild performance applications
• Recommended for engines using a cast crankshaft
• Manufactured under the trusted MAHLE Clevite brand, combining over a century of bearing engineering expertise

The MAHLE Clevite AL-Series main bearing set delivers reliable, proven performance for engine rebuilders working on the 4B11 platform. The 0.25mm undersize designation means this set is matched to a crankshaft that has been machined 0.010 inches below standard journal diameter.
