REDARC BCDC2420 In-Vehicle 24V 20A DC-DC Dual Battery Charger with MPPT Solar

The REDARC BCDC2420 is a three-stage, 24V 20A in-vehicle DC-DC battery charger designed to keep auxiliary batteries charged to their optimal levels while the vehicle is in operation. It accepts a wide input voltage range of 9–32V DC, making it compatible with both 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems. With a continuous output of 20 amps and 600W of output power, it is well-suited for trucking and commercial applications such as charging battery banks that power tailgate lifters and side curtains, as well as off-road, overland, and RV use.

Integrated MPPT Solar Regulator

The BCDC2420 includes a built-in MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar regulator, allowing 12V nominal solar panels to charge 24V auxiliary batteries. The MPPT algorithm continuously extracts the maximum available power from connected solar panels, providing an efficient hybrid charging solution from both alternator and solar sources. The solar switch-on voltage is 17.5V.

Chemistry-Specific Charging Profiles

The BCDC2420 supports a broad range of battery chemistries with dedicated charging profiles to ensure each battery type receives the correct charge voltage and current. Compatible battery types include:
