Federal Mogul ES72790 Cylinder Head Bolt Set

The Federal Mogul (Fel-Pro) ES72790 Cylinder Head Bolt Set is an application-specific replacement head bolt set engineered to deliver precise clamping force and a reliable cylinder head seal during engine rebuilds and head gasket replacements. Manufactured under the trusted Fel-Pro brand — a Federal Mogul product line — these bolts are designed specifically for the repair environment to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.

Key Features:

• Application-specific design ensures a precise fit for the correct engine application
• Meets or exceeds OE specifications for clamping load and thread engagement
• Eliminates the risk associated with reusing stretched Torque-To-Yield (T-T-Y) head bolts
• Cold formed and heat treated prior to thread rolling for added strength and durability
• Engineered to provide consistent, even clamping force across the entire head-to-block mating surface
• Complete set includes all bolts required for a full cylinder head installation

Reusing old or stretched head bolts can result in improper or uneven torque, damaged engine threads, and potential head gasket failure. Always follow OEM torque specifications and the correct torquing sequence when installing cylinder head bolts. For Torque-To-Yield applications, lightly oil bolt threads and under the bolt heads prior to installation unless otherwise specified.
