Product Details

The Mapco 93242M is a complete power steering rack and pinion assembly, engineered as a direct OE-replacement unit for compatible Infiniti G35 sedan applications without rear active steering. This unit restores precise, responsive steering feel and hydraulic power assist, addressing common failure symptoms such as fluid leaks, clunking during turns, uneven steering effort, or a loose steering sensation.

Key Features:

  • Complete rack and pinion assembly — ready to install as a full unit
  • Power steering (hydraulic) configuration
  • Manufactured without rear active steering compatibility
  • OEM-quality construction built to restore original steering geometry and feel
  • Backed by Mapco's quality manufacturing standards as part of the TERREPOWER automotive parts family

OEM / Cross-Reference Part Numbers:

  • OEM: 49001-JK63A
  • Cross-Reference: 26-3078, 3967V

After installing this steering unit, it is recommended to inspect the condition of the power steering pump. Debris in the system can damage the pump's internal valves and housing, which may cause fluid leaks or reduced power assist even after rack replacement. Flushing the power steering system prior to or during installation is strongly advised.
