Product Details

The Genuine BMW Valley Pan Cover (part number 11141742042) is a critical engine sealing component designed for BMW M60 and M62 V8 engines. This V-shaped metal cover seals the top of the engine block valley between the cylinder heads, creating a sealed channel for coolant to flow from the rear of the engine to the water pump.

Key Features:

  • Genuine BMW OEM replacement part for M60/M62/M62TU V8 engines
  • Includes revised FPM/FKM high-temperature gasket pre-installed on cover
  • Gasket cannot be purchased separately - replacement requires complete valley pan assembly
  • Updated design with improved Viton rubber gasket for enhanced durability
  • Prevents coolant leaks that commonly appear at rear of engine or bell housing area

The valley pan gasket is a common failure point on BMW V8 engines due to heat and age, often causing mysterious coolant loss, coolant smell during acceleration or braking, and visible leaks at the rear of the engine. This genuine BMW replacement features an upgraded gasket design that addresses the premature failure issues of earlier versions. Installation requires removal of the intake manifold to access the valley pan.

Found just what I needed for my daughter's car. Great price. Now just hope it arrives promptly!

Found what I needed at the best price on the internet. Easy to check out. Now we'll see what happens.

The ordering process is very easy, the only downfall is that some items don't have a product picture. It showed it on google but when got to the actually website no picture is there so it makes it hard to be certain on what you are actually getting.
