Genuine 32-30-1-093-571 BMW Steering Column Ignition Lock Housing

The Genuine BMW 32-30-1-093-571 is an OEM steering column lock housing designed as a direct replacement for BMW vehicles with a production date up to September 1998. This component is located in the steering column and serves as the structural housing that contains the ignition switch and lock cylinder assembly.

The steering column lock housing performs two critical functions: it secures the ignition switch and lock cylinder in place within the steering column, and it houses the mechanical steering wheel lock mechanism that prevents steering input when the key is removed. Replacing a worn, cracked, or damaged housing restores proper function to both the ignition system and the steering lock.

Key Features:

• Genuine OEM BMW part — manufactured to original factory specifications
• Houses the ignition switch and lock cylinder assembly
• Incorporates the steering wheel locking mechanism
• Designed for BMW vehicles with production dates up to 09/1998
• Direct OEM replacement — no modifications required for installation

This part is sold as the lock housing only — the ignition tumbler, lock cylinder, and ignition switch are not included and must be transferred from the original unit or purchased separately. Also referenced as part numbers 32-30-1-093-571 and 32301093571.
