Product Details

The Cometic C5456-036 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chrysler LA small-block V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a compressed thickness of .036 inches and accommodates a 4.180-inch cylinder bore diameter.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • .036-inch compressed gasket thickness
  • 4.180-inch bore diameter
  • Engineered specifically for Chrysler LA V8 applications
  • Provides exceptional resistance to combustion pressure and thermal cycling
  • Eliminates the need for re-torquing after initial installation

Cometic MLS head gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with advanced coating technology to create a reliable seal between the cylinder head and engine block. The MLS design allows the gasket to adapt to minor surface imperfections while maintaining consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface, making it ideal for both stock and high-performance engine builds.
