Mopar Performance 56027023AB Distributor Ignition Pickup Coil

The Mopar Performance 56027023AB is a genuine OEM distributor ignition pickup coil designed for electronic ignition systems on Mopar vehicles. This magnetic pickup coil assembly is a critical component that generates the signal required to trigger the ignition control module, ensuring proper spark timing and reliable engine performance.

Key Features:

• Genuine Mopar OEM replacement part for precise fit and function
• Magnetic pickup design generates AC voltage signal when reluctor passes sensor
• Compatible with vacuum advance electronic distributors
• Designed for use with Mopar electronic ignition control units (ECU)
• Tested to meet OEM specifications for resistance and signal output
• Direct replacement for worn or failed pickup coils

The pickup coil works by generating a small alternating current signal as the distributor reluctor wheel passes the magnetic sensor. This signal is sent to the electronic control unit, which amplifies it and controls ignition coil firing. When pickup coils fail, symptoms include no-start conditions, intermittent stalling, or misfiring, particularly when the component heats up during operation. This genuine Mopar replacement ensures reliable performance and proper signal generation for optimal ignition system function.
