ContiTech 68012436AA Multi-V Serpentine Belt - 5PK1120

The ContiTech 68012436AA is a 5-rib serpentine belt designed for driving essential engine accessories including the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, and water pump on select vehicles. ContiTech is a division of Continental brand replacement parts and is specifically known for their timing belt components as a leader in their field, regarded as one of the highest quality producers of timing, steering, and drive belts.

Key Features:

• Advanced EPDM rubber compounds virtually eliminate the chirps, squeaks and squeals typically associated with pulley misalignment
• Polyester tension member is specially treated to reduce elongation and is very compatible with the automatic tensioners used in today's belt drive systems
• Provides higher heat and abrasion resistance in even the toughest under-hood conditions resulting in greater wear resistance for an exceptional belt life
• Considered OEM equivalent for European model vehicles
• Belt designation: 5PK1120 (5 ribs, 1120mm length)

This belt cross-references to OEM part numbers 079903137AA, 5PK1115, 5PK1117, and 5PK1120. It is important to keep an eye on the condition of your belts and replace them when they show signs of cracking or delamination, as a broken belt will cause the alternator to stop charging, the power steering to fail, and the vital water pump in many cases, leaving you on the side of the road.
