Standard Motor Products ETS122 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

The Standard Motor Products ETS122 Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor is a direct-fit OE replacement sensor designed to monitor exhaust gas temperatures in modern diesel and select gasoline vehicles. This sensor plays a critical role in protecting the engine and emissions system by providing accurate temperature data to the engine control unit (ECU).

Key Features:

• Direct-fit OE replacement ensures proper fit, form, and function for trouble-free installation
• Detects temperatures within ±10 degrees of actual temperature for precise readings
• Designed to withstand extreme vibration and heat up to 2,300°F (1,260°C)
• OE-match connectors and high-quality terminals ensure accurate signal transmission
• Premium components and durable materials resist harsh engine conditions for extended service life
• Manufactured to stringent quality standards at a certified facility

Exhaust gas temperature sensors monitor exhaust gas temperatures for emissions control, fuel consumption optimization, and proper operation of after-treatment components like diesel particulate filters (DPF). When the sensor detects temperature increases, the ECU can adjust fueling, ignition timing, or DPF regeneration cycles to prevent overheating and component damage. This sensor is essential for maintaining optimal engine performance and meeting emissions requirements.
