Genuine BMW 13-62-7-805-758 Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor

The Genuine BMW 13-62-7-805-758 Differential Pressure Sensor is a critical component for diesel-equipped BMW vehicles, designed to monitor the performance of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system. This OEM sensor ensures accurate measurement of exhaust backpressure to maintain optimal engine performance and emissions compliance.

Key Features:

• Monitors exhaust pressure upstream and downstream of the DPF
• Signals the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to initiate regeneration when needed
• Helps prevent costly DPF clogging and potential engine damage
• Direct OEM replacement ensuring proper fit and function
• Meets BMW factory specifications for reliability and performance

How It Works:

This differential pressure sensor connects to the DPF via two hoses—one upstream and one downstream of the filter. By measuring and comparing the pressure difference at these two points, the sensor determines the amount of soot accumulation in the DPF. When contamination levels become too high, the sensor signals the powertrain control module to begin the regeneration process, burning off trapped particulates and restoring filter efficiency.

Importance of Replacement:

A failing differential pressure sensor can prevent proper DPF regeneration, leading to filter blockage, reduced engine performance, check engine lights, and potential turbocharger damage from excessive backpressure. Replacing a faulty sensor promptly helps avoid expensive repairs to the DPF and engine components.

This genuine BMW part ensures compatibility and long-term reliability for your diesel BMW vehicle.
