Gates CO34817 Modular Coolant Hose Upper Radiator

The Gates CO34817 is a premium modular engine coolant hose designed for upper radiator applications, providing a direct OE-quality replacement solution. This molded coolant hose features an advanced design that may incorporate integrated components such as quick-connectors, branches, sensors, or restrictors depending on the specific application, eliminating the need for multiple separate parts.

Key Features:

• Pre-shaped modular design fits connector to engine location for precise installation
• EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement
• Heat and ozone resistant EPDM cover withstands extreme temperatures from -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Re-engineered materials resist vacuum collapse without requiring internal springs
• Meets SAE 20R3 and SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 specifications for quality and durability
• Advanced manufacturing process ensures consistent construction and leak-free performance
• Direct bolt-on installation with no special tools required

Gates modular coolant hoses are manufactured to OEM specifications, providing the same quality and fit as original equipment while offering improved materials technology. The specialized EPDM compound prevents the formation of micro-cracks that occur when coolant, hose material, and metal fittings create a galvanic reaction, significantly extending service life and reducing the risk of roadside breakdowns.
