The Edelbrock Max-Fire Distributor is a ready-to-run electronic ignition upgrade designed for Chevrolet V8 engines from 262 to 502 cubic inches (excluding tall deck blocks and 348/409 engines). This precision-engineered distributor eliminates the need for points and external ignition control boxes, featuring a simple three-wire hookup for straightforward installation.

  • Centerless ground shaft with upper sealed roller bearing and extended lower bronze Oil-Lite bushing for smooth, reliable operation
  • High-output magnetic pickup with large paddle wheel reluctor delivers strong trigger signals at high RPM
  • Hardened iron drive gear ensures exceptional durability and long service life
  • Fully adjustable mechanical and vacuum advance curves for optimized performance and fuel economy
  • Cap and rotor molded from 30% glass-filled polyester for superior carbon tracking resistance
  • Brass contacts and stainless steel rotor spring maximize electrical conductivity

Each distributor comes complete with cap, rotor, retainer, and mechanical advance curve kit. The fixed collar design ensures proper installation depth. For maximum voltage output and performance at higher RPM, Edelbrock recommends pairing this distributor with a Max-Fire coil.
