The MSD 83525 Ready-To-Run Distributor is a high-performance drop-in ignition upgrade for Ford 289 and 302 small block engines. This complete ignition solution features a built-in rev limiter and does not require an external MSD ignition control box, making installation simple with only three wires to connect.

  • CNC-machined billet aluminum housing and base for durability
  • Polished steel shaft with QPQ coating for corrosion resistance
  • Sealed ball bearing guidance ensures smooth operation
  • Mechanical advance with nylon pads for smooth weight operation
  • Advance weight pins are staked and TIG welded to the plate
  • Vacuum advance canister for improved fuel economy (can be locked out for racing applications)
  • Compact design - housing is 5/8" smaller in diameter than stock Ford distributors
  • Black distributor cap included

This ready-to-run distributor provides reliable spark control right out of the box. The adjustable mechanical and vacuum advance curves allow tuning for street performance or all-out racing applications. The compact billet aluminum construction fits easily in tight engine bays while providing superior heat dissipation compared to stock cast distributors.

Note: Will not fit XD and later Australian 351 Cleveland engines.
