Standard Motor Products RU-793 HVAC Blower Motor Resistor

The Standard Motor Products RU-793 is a direct-fit HVAC blower motor resistor engineered to restore proper variable fan speed operation to your vehicle's heating and air conditioning system. The blower motor resistor regulates the flow of electrical current from the fan switch to the blower motor, enabling multiple fan speed settings. A failed resistor commonly results in the blower operating only at a single speed or not at all, negatively impacting cabin comfort and climate control.

Standard Motor Products engineers this resistor to meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring a seamless, no-modification installation. The part is manufactured using premium copper electrical connectors for more precise resistance values and improved longevity. Kanthal D resistor wire is used for greater flexibility, durability, and tensile strength on higher-watt connections. Every unit is 100% new — containing no remanufactured components.
