Product Details

The Cometic Gaskets C5517-036 is a precision-engineered Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for Ford Windsor V8 engines. This high-performance gasket features a .036" compressed thickness and accommodates a 4.200" cylinder bore diameter, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds requiring reliable sealing under extreme conditions.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability
  • .036" compressed gasket thickness for precise compression ratio tuning
  • 4.200" bore diameter designed for stroker and performance applications
  • Non-SVO design for standard Ford Windsor V8 blocks
  • Engineered to withstand high cylinder pressures and temperatures
  • Embossed stainless steel layers with advanced coating technology

Cometic MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with proprietary coatings that ensure excellent conformability to sealing surfaces while maintaining strength under extreme combustion pressures. The precision manufacturing process ensures consistent thickness and superior sealing performance compared to traditional composite gaskets, making this an excellent choice for high-performance street engines, race applications, and forced induction builds.
