Product Details

The NGK 51428 (RC-GMX005) spark plug wire set, also called an ignition wire set or spark plug cable set, is a direct-fit replacement set for carry spark from the ignition coil or distributor to the spark plugs. NGK is known as The Ignition Specialist, and this set is built to OE-level tolerances and quality.

Key Features:

  • 7mm ultra-low resistance magnetic core, wire-wound ignition cable for reliable spark delivery and radio frequency interference suppression
  • High-temperature silicone outer jacket resists underhood heat up to 250°C (482°F), plus moisture, oil and cracking
  • High-density fiberglass braid reinforcement over EPDM/silicone inner insulation for strong dielectric strength and cable tensile strength
  • Stainless steel terminals resist corrosion and hold tight against vibration
  • Silicone seal at the spark plug boot helps keep out moisture and contaminants
  • Numbered leads and color-coded coil wire make cylinder identification and installation easier

Replacing worn or cracked plug wires can help correct misfires, rough idle and hesitation, and helps restore smooth, dependable ignition performance. Also listed under NGK type number GMX005.
