Product Details

The NGK 51340 (RC-GMZ049) spark plug wire set, also called an ignition wire set or plug cable set, is a replacement part built to OE tolerances. It carries high-voltage current from the ignition system to the spark plugs. NGK is known as The Ignition Specialist and has decades of OE experience.

Key Features:

  • 8mm ultra-low resistance magnetic core: wire-wound ignition cable with OEM-specified or better spark plug and distributor boots.
  • High-temp silicone outer jacket: resists underhood temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), plus moisture, oil/petrol and cracking from temperature extremes.
  • Fiberglass braid reinforcement: high-density braiding over EPDM/silicone inner insulation gives strong dielectric strength and cable tensile strength.
  • Stainless steel terminals: corrosion-resistant ends hold tight and resist vibration and separation.
  • Silicone seal at the spark plug boot: helps keep a secure, protected connection.
  • Easy identification: wires are numbered by cylinder, and coil wires are color coded to simplify installation.
  • Interference suppression: variable-pitch wire winding helps resist radio frequency interference.
  • Warranty: limited lifetime.

Replacing worn or cracked plug wires can help correct misfires, rough idle and hesitation. It also restores reliable ignition performance.
