Product Details

The NGK 48889 COP ignition coil (also called a coil-on-plug ignition coil or ignition coil pack) is built to meet or exceed OE standards for durability and operating performance. It converts the battery's 12-volt supply into the high-voltage spark your engine needs. It mounts directly over the spark plug, so no plug wires are needed.

Key Features:

  • Coil-on-plug (COP) design for distributorless ignition systems
  • 12-volt operation
  • Blade-type terminal with 4 terminals (male terminal gender)
  • Female connector gender
  • Not oil filled
  • Mounting bracket not included
  • NGK stock number 48889; also listed under part number U5273
  • Designed and tested in NGK's ISO 17025 accredited test lab

NGK has more than 80 years of experience in ignition technology and is known as an OE supplier. Choosing an NGK coil helps restore smooth starts, steady idle and consistent combustion.
