The Dura-Bond 1120-HP is a case-hardened (HP Series) valve spring booster shim, precision manufactured to restore proper valve spring tension lost during engine valve and seat reconditioning work.

When valves are refaced or valve seats are ground during a cylinder head rebuild, metal is removed — reducing installed spring height and lowering spring pressure below OEM specifications. Installing a Dura-Bond Valve Spring Booster Shim under the spring restores the lost material and returns spring tension to proper operating levels.
