Product Details

The Gates 24491 is a premium molded coolant hose engineered to provide OEM-quality cooling system performance for specific vehicle applications. This factory-molded hose is designed to fit precisely where needed, whether as an upper radiator hose, lower radiator hose, bypass hose, or heater hose connection.

Key Features:

  • EPDM tube and cover construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for superior durability
  • Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
  • Re-engineered materials resist vacuum collapse, reducing the need for internal springs
  • Heat and ozone resistant cover withstands harsh engine compartment conditions
  • Pre-shaped to ensure proper fit and perfectly sealed connections
  • Approved for marine applications
  • Meets SAE 20R3 and 20R4 specifications for coolant hose applications

This molded coolant hose operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 275°F (-40°C to 135°C), making it suitable for both extreme cold and high-temperature cooling system conditions. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal performance and leak prevention.
