GPD 1712054 A/C Thermostat with Rotary Control and 9" Capillary Tube

The GPD 1712054 is an automotive air conditioning thermostat designed to regulate temperature control in vehicle HVAC systems. This component features a rotary control mechanism with a 9-inch capillary tube for accurate temperature sensing and control.

Key Features:

• Rotary thermostat design for precise temperature adjustment
• 9-inch capillary tube length for flexible installation and accurate sensing
• Electrical switch provides feedback to the engine management system
• Helps prevent A/C compressor damage by controlling cycling
• Direct replacement component for OEM specifications

In modern vehicles, this thermostat works in conjunction with the ECM to control the A/C system, while in earlier vehicle applications it directly controls compressor operation. The capillary tube design allows the sensing bulb to be positioned optimally for monitoring evaporator temperature, ensuring efficient climate control while protecting system components from freeze-up or excessive cycling.
