Product Details

The NGK 48926 (U5090) coil-on-plug (COP) pencil-type ignition coil is a direct-fit replacement for a worn or failing ignition coil. It sits directly over the spark plug and does not need a distributor or coil wire. A weak coil can cause misfires, rough idle, hard starting and a lit check engine light. Replacing it restores a strong, consistent spark.

Key Features:

  • Coil-on-plug pencil design for distributorless ignition systems
  • Built to meet or exceed OE standards for durability and performance
  • Tested in NGK's ISO 17025 accredited test lab under extreme conditions
  • Bolt-on mounting with one mounting hole
  • Blade-type terminals and a female connector
  • 12V rating
  • Mounting hardware is not included
  • Backed by a 3-year limited warranty

NGK has more than 80 years of ignition experience and is an OE supplier. This coil is a dependable choice for restoring engine performance and smooth starting.
