SPLASH® is a Minnesota-born brand with deep roots in automotive visibility and all-season vehicle protection. Based in Minnesota and part of the Factory Motor Parts (FMP) family of brands, SPLASH® provides innovative products that protect against extreme weather and road conditions in any season. What started as a windshield washer fluid operation has grown into a trusted name across a range of vehicle care essentials — with windshield wiper blades standing as one of its most recognized product lines.

From Washer Fluid Roots to a Full Visibility Brand

In 1995, Factory Motor Parts (FMP) acquired Fox Packaging, a small St. Paul plant that produced windshield washer fluid. Fox Packaging was one of the first companies to add dye to make colored windshield wash — a product that was formerly only made as a clear liquid, allowing drivers to easily check the fluid level in their reservoirs. Eventually, the Fox brand was reborn as SPLASH®. That spirit of practical innovation has carried forward into every product the brand develops today.

SPLASH® regularly develops new, innovative products to meet the needs of consumers in the United States and Canada, running two efficient, high-performing plants in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Ayer, Massachusetts, in addition to multiple co-packers throughout the United States.

The comprehensive wiper blade lineup provides OE-quality blades for a streak-free shine with a precision-cut wiping edge for every season. SPLASH offers two core blade series designed to handle the full spectrum of driving conditions:

• Safeview Performance Blades: Made with steel-backed rubber, a precision-cut wiping edge, and a pre-attached adapter for easy installation, the Safeview blades are engineered for better wrap on highly curved windshields. A pre-attached universal adapter fits 9mm hook, 9x4 hook, side lock, and bayonet arms — covering 95% of vehicles on the road. Available in lengths ranging from 11" to 28", the aerodynamic steel frame provides exceptional strength and durability.
• Weather Repel Premium Beam Blades: The Weather Repel® Premium Wiper Blades feature a uniquely designed aerodynamic frame for a smooth, uniform glide. Built for all-weather durability and designed to withstand sun, rain, snow, and mud, the one-piece wiper design eliminates areas where snow, ice, and road debris can clog the wiper.

Knowing When to Replace Your Wipers

Wiper blades should be replaced every six months to a year, or as soon as you notice a difference in driving visibility. When they no longer make proper contact with the windshield surface and begin to squeak, chatter, skip, smear, or streak, it's time to replace them.
