Clevite MS2297P25MM P-Series Main Bearing Set .25mm Oversize

The Clevite MS2297P25MM is a high-performance P-Series main bearing set engineered for Cummins ISX and ISX15 diesel engines. This bearing features a .25mm (.010 inch) oversize specification, designed for crankshafts that have been machined or require compensation for wear.

Advanced Tri-Metal Construction:

• Cast copper-lead core material increases fatigue strength by approximately 20% compared to powdered metal processes
• Hardened steel backing provides exceptional strength and support under high loads
• Electroplated babbitt overlay on the running surface delivers superior bearing qualities and wear resistance
• Reduced overlay thickness prevents overlay fatigue and hen tracking

Performance Features:

• High eccentricity design compensates for high-load factors and distortion in demanding applications
• High crush factor ensures maximum bearing retention in the housing
• Full groove configuration on most applications provides enhanced oil flow to connecting rod bearings
• Superior conformability and embedability protects against contaminants

Part of the Clevite 77 bearing family, the P-Series is the most versatile replacement engine bearing suitable for heavy-duty diesel applications, motorsports rebuilds, and high-performance street engines. This bearing set provides the margin of forgiveness needed for engines operating in demanding conditions or those that don't receive maintenance as frequently as recommended. Compatible with OEM part numbers 4907151 (upper) and 4907153 (lower).
