The MAHLE 3010231 is a PC479 Fire-Power™ Plain Ring Set designed for a 4.565-inch bore diameter with 1/16-inch top rings. Engineered for high-performance and racing applications, this ring set is built to MAHLE's exacting tolerances using proven piston ring simulation and computer development tools to reduce friction and maximize power output.

Top Ring Technology:

• Positive-twist ductile iron construction for superior durability and cylinder wall conformability
• Barrel-faced contact surface for efficient compression sealing and reduced blowby
• Plasma-moly inlaid face coating for excellent break-in characteristics and long-term wear resistance
• CNC-controlled gap chamfer to optimize compression retention

Ring Set Features:

• 1/16-inch top compression ring profile fits standard PC479 series performance pistons
• Intermediate (second) ring utilizes a reverse-twist, taper-faced cast iron design for superior groove-side sealing
• Oil control ring assembly engineered for consistent oil film management
• Pre-lapped design seats immediately, virtually eliminating traditional break-in time
• Ring tension, materials, and coatings optimized for reduced friction and extended service life

The MAHLE 3010231 plain ring set is the preferred choice for engine builders seeking a reliable, performance-proven ring package. MAHLE's ultra-flat ring flanks and precision finish maximize ring-to-piston groove sealing for consistent power and durability on the street or track.
