MAHLE 3011199B Plain Gas Nitrided Piston Ring Set 4.190in Bore

The MAHLE 3011199B is a high-performance piston ring set designed for 4.190-inch bore applications. This bulk-packaged ring set features plain steel compression rings with gas nitride surface treatment, engineered to deliver exceptional durability and wear resistance in demanding performance and racing environments.

Key Specifications:

• Bore Size: 4.190 inches
• Compression Ring Thickness: .043 inches (1.0mm)
• Radial Width: .157 inches
• Top Ring Material: Gas nitrided steel
• Construction: Plain ring design for maximum strength
• Packaging: Bulk (typically 8 cylinder sets)

Gas Nitride Technology:

The gas nitriding process hardens all surfaces of the ring, providing wear resistance comparable to traditional coatings while maintaining excellent scuff resistance. This treatment creates a tough, long-lasting surface that resists ring groove wear and extends service life, making it ideal for high-temperature, high-pressure applications with minimal lubrication.

Performance Benefits:

• Superior dimensional stability under extreme operating conditions
• Reduced friction losses for increased horsepower
• Enhanced ring-to-cylinder wall sealing for improved compression
• Lower ring mass allows better conformability to cylinder walls
• Excellent resistance to scuffing and premature wear

MAHLE's engineering expertise and precision manufacturing ensure these rings deliver professional-grade performance for serious racers and engine builders. The thin .043-inch profile allows the top ring to be positioned higher on the piston, reducing crevice volume and unburned fuel while improving combustion efficiency.
