Product Details

The Gates 24577 Premium Molded Coolant Hose is a factory-molded, application-specific replacement hose designed to deliver OEM-quality fit and performance. This pre-shaped coolant hose features a centerline length of 17 3/8 inches and an inside diameter of 1 9/16 inches, engineered to fit specific vehicle applications with precision.

Key Features:

  • Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
  • EPDM tube construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for superior durability
  • Heat and ozone-resistant EPDM cover withstands temperature extremes from -40°F to +275°F
  • Pre-shaped molded design ensures perfectly sealed connections and easy installation
  • Resistant to vacuum collapse in most applications, reducing the need for internal springs
  • Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 performance requirements

Gates Premium Molded Coolant Hoses are manufactured to OEM specifications for upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant system applications. The advanced EPDM compound resists the electrochemical reactions that form between coolant, hose material, and metal fittings, preventing micro-cracks and extending service life. Not intended for fuel or oil transfer applications. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps when installing new coolant hoses.
