Gates 24573 Molded Coolant Hose

The Gates 24573 is a premium molded coolant hose manufactured to fit specific automotive cooling system applications with OEM-quality specifications. This pre-shaped hose is designed to ensure a perfect fit and sealed connection in upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant applications.

Key Features:

• EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and heat-resistant EPDM cover
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Re-engineered materials resist vacuum collapse, reducing the need for internal springs
• Heat and ozone resistant construction for extended service life
• Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 specifications
• Approved for marine applications

Gates molded coolant hoses are precision-manufactured to deliver reliable performance and durability. The advanced EPDM compound resists the electrochemical reactions that occur between the hose, coolant, and metal fittings, preventing micro-cracks and premature failure. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal sealing performance.
