Blue Ox BX1627 Tow Bar Base Plate with Standard Attachment Tabs

The Blue Ox BX1627 is a custom-fit tow bar base plate designed for flat towing (dinghy towing) behind a motorhome or RV. Engineered specifically for the Oldsmobile Bravada and select Chevrolet models, this base plate provides a secure, frame-integrated attachment point for a Blue Ox tow bar.

Key Features:

• Heavy-duty steel construction for long-lasting durability under towing loads
• Custom vehicle-specific fit that integrates directly with the chassis — no universal adapters required
• Standard attachment tabs included for connecting to Blue Ox tow bar arms via the dual-lug connection system
• Low-profile design sits hidden beneath the vehicle body to maintain a clean, stock appearance
• Shock-absorbing design flexes to reduce stress transferred to the vehicle frame during towing
• Bolts to existing chassis mounting points — no welding required
• All mounting hardware and vehicle-specific installation instructions included
• Estimated installation time: approximately 2 hours
• 3-year manufacturer warranty

The BX1627 base plate is compatible with Blue Ox tow bars featuring the standard dual-lug connection. Note that the tow bar is sold separately. Depending on the specific vehicle configuration, some trimming or minor modifications may be required during installation.
