Product Details

The Cometic C4235-140 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Mitsubishi 4G63 and 4G63T engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .140-inch (3.56mm) compressed thickness and an 87mm bore diameter, making it ideal for performance and racing applications where enhanced sealing and durability are critical.

Key Specifications:

  • Compressed thickness: .140 inches (3.56mm)
  • Bore diameter: 87mm
  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing
  • Compatible with DOHC 4G63/4G63T engines
  • Fits models excluding Evo 4-9 (for Evo 4-9, use specific Cometic applications)

Features and Benefits:

  • MLS technology provides multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings for maximum combustion sealing
  • Accommodates engine movement and expansion under high-performance conditions
  • Resists corrosion and extreme temperatures
  • Maintains torque and seal integrity even under high cylinder pressures
  • Designed for turbocharged and naturally aspirated applications

Cometic MLS head gaskets are a popular choice among engine builders and tuners working with modified Mitsubishi 4G63 engines found in vehicles like the Eclipse, Talon, Galant VR-4, and early DSM platforms. The .140-inch thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning when building performance engines.
