The SmartPlug C30503 30 Amp 50' Dual Configuration Cordset lets you upgrade the boat end of your shore power connection to a modern SmartPlug connector while keeping a standard NEMA twist-type plug at the dockside end. It works with a compatible SmartPlug shore power inlet (sold separately) and can be used at marinas with standard NEMA dockside power pedestals.

Key Features:

• 30-amp overheat protection: Oversize power pins and clips transfer power efficiently, even under high amperage loads.
• Straight electrical pins: Straight pins provide 20 times more electrical surface area than curved pins, and no twisting is required.
• Corrosion-resistant materials: Tinned copper wire runs the full length of the cordset for conductivity and corrosion resistance. All external metals are 316 stainless steel, and the electrical pins are nickel-plated brass.
• Snug connector body: The sleeve design fits closely within the inlet, removing pressure and tension from the pins and clips.
• Weatherproof cord seal: A TPE Dyna-flex cord seal creates a weatherproof seal to the power cord.
• Easy, secure connection: The plug body goes in only one way, pushes straight in, and locks automatically with spring-loaded side clips. The inlet cover snaps onto the sides of the inlet and the top of the connector.
• LED power indicator: A blue LED on top of the connector glows when power is on.

Traditional NEMA shore power connectors rely on curved pins with limited metal-to-metal contact, which can cause resistance and overheating. They also lack a positive locking feature, and the L-shaped pin can be hard to find and engage in the dark.
