Product Details

The Century Drill and Tool 27201 is an 8-step drill bit designed for efficient drilling of multiple hole sizes in thin materials without changing bits. This versatile step drill features a durable zirconium coating that provides enhanced wear resistance and extended tool life compared to standard high-speed steel bits.

Key Features:

  • 8 progressive step sizes for drilling multiple hole diameters in a single bit
  • Zirconium coating for superior hardness and heat resistance
  • Ideal for drilling sheet metal, plastic, thin wood, and other thin materials
  • Self-starting split point tip prevents walking and ensures accurate hole placement
  • Single flute design quickly removes chips and reduces binding
  • 1/4-inch hex shank fits standard quick-change chucks and drill drivers

Step drills are particularly useful for electrical work, HVAC installations, and automotive applications where multiple hole sizes are needed in thin gauge materials. The zirconium coating helps maintain sharp cutting edges even after repeated use, making this an economical choice for both professional tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts.
