Genuine VW/Audi 049-129-412C Carburetor Idle Cut-Off Valve

The Genuine VW/Audi 049-129-412C is a 12-volt electric idle cut-off valve designed for classic air-cooled Volkswagen carburetors. This OEM component mounts on the side of the carburetor and controls air flow to the idle circuit, playing a critical role in engine performance and preventing run-on conditions.

Key Features:

• Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part ensuring proper fit and function
• Compatible with 34-PICT-3, 34-PICT-4, and 34-PDSIT-2/3 carburetors
• Electrically operated valve closes when ignition is turned off to prevent dieseling
• Includes sealing ring for proper installation
• Essential for proper idle operation on 1600cc VW engines

This idle shut-off valve provides air to the carburetor's idle circuit during normal operation. When the ignition key is turned off, the valve automatically closes to prevent "run-on" or dieseling, where the engine continues running after the key is removed. If the valve fails to open, the engine will not idle properly. This is a direct replacement for worn or failed original valves on classic Volkswagen applications.

Note: This valve is not compatible with 30-PICT or 31-PICT carburetors.
