Product Details

The Cometic C4587-040 is a premium Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Subaru EJ255 Version 2 and 2007-2018 EJ257 engines. This gasket features a .040" (1.02mm) compressed thickness and a 101mm bore diameter, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds requiring precise sealing.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction with multiple layers of stainless steel for superior strength and sealing
  • 101mm bore diameter optimized for EJ255 Version 2 and EJ257 applications
  • .040" compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
  • Advanced coating provides excellent torque retention and micro-sealing properties
  • Maintains cylinder pressure under extreme heat and pressure conditions
  • Resists corrosion and withstands the demanding thermal cycles of turbocharged engines

Cometic's MLS gaskets are the preferred choice for performance enthusiasts and professional engine builders. The multi-layer design allows the gasket to move with the engine block and cylinder head, compensating for thermal expansion while maintaining consistent sealing. This gasket is essential for maintaining proper compression and preventing coolant or combustion gas leaks in high-performance Subaru applications.

Quick and simple

Great

very good price fast shipping

Great website, easy to navigate.

I'm unsure how it's connected to my amazon account but that made it faster.

This is a great e-retailer. Best price and fast shipping. I ordered a bike rack. Their price was the lowest I could find, and it was drop shipped from the manufacturer the following day, and arrived in time for me to use it on the weekend. The one criticism I would have is the item description could have been better. From my web research, I knew the model I wanted, but if I was just browsing bike racks on their website, I would have needed more information.

It was good quick and eassy

I love to shop at Autoplicity because of their selections and pricing options. Fast shipping and great customer service. The only thing I'd like to see is the site needs a continue shopping option after looking at cart. My overall experience has always

Very fast service order arrived next day after they shipped it.<br>product looked great except for the bottom bolt brackets were slightly bent but that could have happened during shipment. Otherwise I'm happy with the transaction!

Best price that I could find. It was real easy to order. Placed order on wed received it on Friday, doesn't get much better than that. Product looks great! <br>3/16/2012<br>Ok, product was to big for my setup needed to exchange for smaller product. They are going to charge me a restocking fee of 15% Even when my product did not fall under their conditions. This is crap. False advertisement. I was ok with paying all the extra shipping fees which will be about the amount of the product when it was all said and done. So mad don't think I'm gonna mess with this company anymore. They don't practice what they preach. Beware :(<br>3/20/2012<br>OK, Update number 3.<br>Received E-mail today saying that Autoplicity would now Not Charge Me a 15% restocking fee and they were sorry for the inconvenience. Very Happy Now this is the way to do business. <br>Thanks Rob :)<br>3/21/2012
