Dayco E040320 Elastic Serpentine Belt 4-Rib POLY RIB ELA

The Dayco E040320 is a premium elastic self-tensioning serpentine belt featuring POLY RIB® ELA technology designed for automotive accessory drive systems. This 4-rib belt is engineered with internal elasticity that automatically maintains proper tension and load-carrying capacity throughout its service life, eliminating the need for traditional belt tensioners in compatible applications.

Key Features:

• 4-rib straight rib profile with 0.54-inch top width for efficient power transmission
• 32.0-inch free length (metric designation 4PKE814) - shorter than installed length due to elastic construction
• Internal elasticity maintains constant tension over belt life, reducing maintenance
• Meets or exceeds SAE J1459 and SAE J2432 industry specifications
• Manufactured in the USA with premium materials for durability
• Designed for multiple accessory drives including air conditioning compressors, alternators, and power steering pumps

This belt is part of Dayco's POLY RIB family, the revolutionary multi-ribbed belt system originally developed for high-performance applications. The ELA elastic construction provides superior tension consistency compared to conventional serpentine belts, making it ideal for demanding automotive accessory belt drive systems. Note that this belt has been superseded by part number 4PK834EE for some applications.
