Swagman 65148 CONTOUR J-Style Roof Mount Kayak Rack with Tie-Down Straps

The Swagman CONTOUR (65148) is a J-style roof mount kayak carrier designed to make transporting your kayak simple and secure. The fixed J-cradle design carries a single kayak on its side, freeing up valuable roof space for additional gear such as a bike rack or cargo basket.

The cradle arms are wrapped in high-density foam padding that is soft yet firm, protecting your kayak's hull from scratches and abrasions during transport. A soft rubber base adds an extra layer of cushioning at contact points. Designed primarily for sea kayaks and whitewater kayaks — not intended for use with aluminum boats.

Key Features:

• J-style fixed cradle carries one kayak on its side, maximizing available roof space
• 100 lb weight capacity for a wide range of kayak sizes
• High-density foam padding on all cradle arms protects hull from scratches and scuffs
• Universal mounting system fits round, square, oval, and most factory crossbars
• 2 cam-lock buckle tie-down straps included for securing the kayak to the cradles
• Bow and stern ropes included to keep the kayak firmly in place at highway speeds
• Additional 10 mm bolts included to accommodate larger-diameter OEM crossbars
• Can be mounted on either the driver's or passenger's side of the roof rack

The Swagman CONTOUR installs easily on most roof rack crossbar systems and includes everything needed to get your kayak on the road safely — tie-down straps, cam-lock buckles, and bow/stern lines all come in the box.
