Gates 24178 Molded Coolant Hose - OE-Quality EPDM Radiator Hose

The Gates 24178 is a factory-molded coolant hose engineered to deliver OEM-quality performance in automotive and light-duty cooling systems. Pre-shaped to match original equipment specifications, this molded hose installs quickly and seals reliably, eliminating the guesswork of universal hose routing.

Key Features:

• EPDM Construction: Tube, synthetic fiber knit reinforcement, and heat- and ozone-resistant EPDM cover for long-lasting durability
• Electrochemical Degradation (ECD) Resistance: Specifically engineered compound combats the leading cause of coolant hose failure — micro-cracking caused by galvanic reactions between coolant, metal fittings, and hose material
• Vacuum Collapse Resistance: Engineered materials resist vacuum collapse, reducing the need for internal springs in many applications
• Wide Temperature Range: Rated from -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C) for dependable performance in extreme conditions
• SAE Certified: Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 requirements
• OEM Fit: Factory pre-shaped for a precise, leak-free fit — no trimming or custom bending required
• Marine Approved: Suitable for marine cooling system applications

Gates molded coolant hoses are manufactured to fit upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant circuit positions with OEM-quality specifications. Note: Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal sealing performance.
