Product Details

The Cometic C5498-120 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chrysler 420A and ECC engines. This precision gasket features an 88.5mm bore diameter and 0.120-inch compressed thickness, providing superior sealing capability for stock and modified applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for maximum durability and reliability
  • 88.5mm bore diameter for precise fitment
  • 0.120-inch (3.05mm) compressed thickness
  • Engineered for Chrysler 420A and ECC engine applications
  • Superior resistance to combustion pressure and temperature extremes
  • Eliminates gasket failures common with composite gaskets
  • Ideal for turbocharged, supercharged, and high-compression builds

Cometic MLS head gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with embossed sealing beads that provide even clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface. The advanced material composition ensures excellent rebound characteristics and maintains consistent seal integrity even under extreme cylinder pressure and thermal cycling. This gasket is a direct replacement for OEM applications and a proven upgrade for performance builds requiring enhanced sealing reliability.
