The Gates 24204 Premium Molded Coolant Hose is a factory-molded, OEM-quality replacement hose designed for upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant applications. This pre-shaped hose features a 38-5/8 inch centerline length with 2-inch inside diameter fittings on both ends, engineered to fit precisely and ensure perfectly sealed conditions in modern engine compartments.

Construction and Materials:

  • EPDM rubber tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement
  • Heat-, ozone-, and chemical coolant-resistant EPDM cover
  • Specifically-engineered materials resist collapse under vacuum
  • Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of hose failure

Performance Specifications:

  • Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
  • Meets SAE 20R4 Class D2 and DIN 73411 Class A specifications
  • Approved for coolant, water, and air applications
  • Approved for marine use

Important Notes: Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed. Not for use with fuel or oil transfer applications. This molded hose provides OEM-quality specifications at aftermarket value, eliminating the need for costly dealer replacements.
