Product Details

The OTC Tools 5942 is an 8-piece XZN (Triple Square) Super Short Socket Bit Set engineered for professional technicians who need to access fasteners in confined spaces. The ultra-compact one-piece steel construction delivers the durability required for repeated use under demanding shop conditions, while the shortened profile provides the clearance needed to use existing ratchets and wrenches without interference.

XZN, also known as Triple Square, is a specialty fastener profile widely used in European vehicle manufacturing. OEMs favor these profiles for their superior engagement with tool fixtures, precise torque delivery, and reduced fastener damage during assembly and service operations.

Set Includes:

  • M4, M5, M6, M8 — 20mm overall length | 1/4" internal square drive | 7/16" external hex drive
  • M10, M12, M14, M16 — 25mm overall length | 3/8" internal square drive | 5/8" external hex drive

Key Features:

  • One-piece alloy steel construction for maximum strength and long service life
  • Super short 20–25mm profile for fasteners in tight quarters
  • Dual-drive design: use with internal square drive ratchets or external hex drive wrenches
  • 8 metric sizes from M4 to M16 cover the most common XZN fastener applications
  • Stored on a socket rail for easy identification and organized storage

The OTC 5942 is a go-to set for body service professionals performing door hardware removal and installation, and is equally well-suited for any service work involving XZN fasteners on European and domestic vehicles alike.
